All events and performances will be in front of the municipal building unless noted otherwise.

Oct. 30, 2009, Pumpkin Decorating Contest, sponsored by Oblong IGA, bring your pumpkin in on Friday and it will be judged at 10 am on Saturday, contact the Oblong IGA before hand.

Oct. 31, 2009 
7 - 9:30 am, Sausage Gravy & Biscuit Breakfast, Central United Methodist Church, 112 N Range St.

9 am, Arts, Crafts Food Booths Open: to reserve a space call 618-592-4355

9 am - 5 pm, JFL program will have a Car Smash (smacking an old van with sledge hammer) to raise money for their program.
Time will be all day. Will likely locate them on the recycle building lot near the haunted house.

9 am - 9:45 am, Oblong school chorus will be performing in front of the municipal building.

9 am - 4 pm, Quilt Show, Illini Prairie Quilters at Oblong Municipal Building, call 618-592-4134

9 am - 5 pm, Readers Are Leaders bookmobile is stocked with children`s books for readers ranging from infants to teens.

10 am - "Roger Dee" announcing and performing by the municipal building.

10 am - 12 pm - WIKK Live Remote at the Oblong Municipal Building with Mike Shipman and the WIKK-WSEI BOOM BOX Van.

10 am - Little Miss & Mister Contest, at the Oblong Municipal Building, Sponsored by Kelsa Kreations.
This is the 24th year for the Little Miss contest and the 18th year for the Little Mr contest.

10:30 - ? -Homemade Soup & Trimmings Lunch, E.U.M-. Church basement, 201 East Main St., church basement is handicapped accessible.

11 am, Halloween Party at the library. Come in costume, games, storys, hot dogs, drinks all free.

11 am - 12 pm - Richland County Gospel Music Association Performing.

1 pm - KCL Allstars tumbling & cheerleading performance, on Sorth Range Street.

The Tons O’Fun Band will be performing.

Who is Tons O' Fun? They are an established high energy classic rhythm and blues band that features a full blown horn section and four different lead vocalists. They have opened for REO Speedwagon and Survivor.

What you can expect to hear? They play a variety of music, but focus mainly on horn-driven tunes from the sixties, seventies and eighties: wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave, Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder, Blood Sweat and Tears, Huey Lewis and hang on –CHICAGO! Needless to say they are a band with chops!!!
