The parade line up has 30 marching bands for the nighttime parade.

THERE WILL BE A SHUTTLE SERVICE THIS YEAR BETWEEN DOWNTOWN AND THE BAND FIELD COMPETITION AT THE HIGH SCHOOL - SHUTTLE WILL START AT NOON.

Oct. 24, 2008, Pumpkin Decorating Contest, sponsored by Oblong IGA, bring your pumpkin in on Friday and it will be judged at 10 am on Saturday, contact the Oblong IGA before hand.

Oct. 25, 2008 
7 - 9:30 am, Sausage Gravy & Biscuit Breakfast, Central United Methodist Church, 112 N Range St.

 9 am, Arts, Crafts Food Booths Open: to reserve a space call 618-592-4355

9 am, Pony Rides on South Range Street

9 am - We will have a Super Slide, Bounce House, and other items for the kids to play on.
They will set them up on South Range just beyond the Municipal building.

9 am - 9:45 am, Oblong school chorus will be performing in front of the municipal building.

9 am - 4 pm, Quilt Show, Illini Prairie Quilters at Oblong Municipal Building, call 618-592-4134

9 am - 5 pm, Readers Are Leaders bookmobile is stocked with children`s books for readers ranging from infants to teens.

10 am (approximately), Spooktacular Band Fest, Oblong High School Football Field.

10 am - 12 pm - WIKK Live Remote at the 4-way with Geron Scates and the WIKK BOOM BOX Van.

 10 am - 12 pm, Story reading at the library.

 10 am - Little Miss & Mister Contest, at the Oblong Municipal Building, Sponsored by Kelsa Kreations.

10 am - 2 pm, Cub Scouts Cake Walk, North Range Street.

 10:30 am - Cayla Coulter's Tumblers will be performing on North Range Street.

 10:30 - ? -Homemade Soup & Trimmings Lunch, E.U.M. Church basement, 201 East Main St., church basement is handicapped accessible.

12 Noon - 6:30 pm, "Roger Dee" performing downtown.
  

1 pm - KCL Allstars tumbling & cheerleading performance, on North Range Street.

2:00 pm - Bicycle Decorating Contest at Municipal Building sponsored by Mane Street Beauty Salon Register by calling Carol or Beth at 592-4343

2:30 pm - 3:30 pm, Richland County Gospel Music Association on Stage at 4-Way

 3 - 7 pm - Pancake and Sausage Supper at Oblong Fire House, Free Will Donation.

 5:30 pm, Parade Costume Judging, cash prizes at the Municipal Building on South Range Street.

 5:30 - 6:30 pm, Float Judging at the park.

 6 pm, Crawford County Shrine Clowns Entertainment.

 7 pm, Spooktacular Nighttime Parade, starting at the Fairgrounds.

NO CHAIRS FOR THE PARADE IN THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS AREA UNTIL 5 PM.
IF THEY ARE SETUP, THE OBLONG POLICE DEPT. WILL REMOVE THEM.
